I’m going to write an essay about being a college student, and specifically being a Business Management Major. First, I’m going to use my two interviews to discuss the difficulties of being a college student, specifically the adjustment that it takes to get used to college classes all combine with playing Tennis at a high level and studying in a foreign language.
Take, for instance, Eduardo Mena—a current senior at Tennessee Tech—who showed promise as a high school student and good tennis player back in Madrid. In fact, he “loved playing tennis at Junior level ,” and Mena got a good spanish ranking, where he also took several english courses; so, when he arrived at college he thought that “it would not be a breeze.”
Soon Mena started to recognize that college was “fundamentally different” than his home experience . For example, he realized that students “actually needed to do the homework that college professors assign” and that they “don’t check up on you.” This is relevant because in high school, even though he considered himself very studious, he would often do homework only if he “felt like it or had the time” because he realized that the teachers would either “cover all of the material in class anyway” or “give students who didn’t finish time to complete it in class, especially if a lot of students didn’t.” Thus, according to Stone, “there were no real dangers to procrastination.”
And studying in a foreign language "made it all much more difficult".
Mena thought that : "My frehman year is gong to be tough because I'm going to cope with three diferent goals". Thanks to the help of teachers advisers and Tennis team Mena has grown a lot in his TTU experience. " I had to put a lot of effort in order to achive my present NCAA tennis ranking."
Mena has managed to be among the best thirty best college tennis players because of the good results he has achieved. He is considered one of the best athletes of the university. All this has led him that after this semester graduates, " I will stay a TTU for my master degree". "I'm going to help others to achive what I did".I will also use the experience of my actual assistant coach Rogerio Ribero. He graduated from ETSU and he was also in the tennis team. During his time in college, he achieved very good results and also, he played number two for his team. The TTU tennis coach who knew him through his good results was the one who offered him the job where he is right now.
"Tennis has given me a lot"
He has being a lot of Help in avicing me how to balance Tennis and Studies in a foreign language.
